October 2017

Region 3 Championships Wellington, FL

Congratulations to Meghan Watt and Kris Kuchinski Broome on their rides! Meghan came home with Champion JR/YR 3rd Level on Madrigal , Champion YR on Invicto, and Res CH JR/YR Prix St. Georges on Invicto!

Kris and her mare Zaomi were just out of the ribbons in AA PSG, 4th level AA, and 4th Freestyle, but we were so proud of Zaomi for handling the big arena and mud like a trooper!

Deborah Gray McGowan's Lusitano gelding Espanto made his PSG debut in the open show with a respectable 60%.

September 2017

On September 4th, we brought "Team Baby" to the Young Horse Show held at Pennock Point Sport Horses, and everyone behaved wonderfully for their first outing! Pictured are: 4 yo mare Independence (UB40 X Moneymaker) owned by Kris Kuchinski Broome, 4 yo gelding Iago (Juventus X Actueel) owned by Tara Manion, and 3 yo mare Javalite (Florianus X Jazz) owned by Tanya and Alex Robertson. Megan Richards rode her own 4 yo gelding Bugatti (Burberry X Art Deco). The YHS series is a great opportunity for young horses to get out and gain some experience, and you have a chance to win some $ too!

Meghan Watt and I had a great weekend at Chatt Hills- Meghan and Invicto aced their 4th level Freestyle with a 70% and won their PSG, while Velvet and I were 3rd level CH with scores to 72%! She kept looking across the field at the x-c jumps--maybe trying to decide if this dressage stuff is harder or easier than her previous career as an event horse!
